Go Code Colorado’s kickoff event is less than a month away! We’re getting excited and we’re hearing from folks all over Twitter who are looking for teams or already have a team assembled, and they want to know what to do. Here are our answers to these questions:
How Do I Join a Team?
All you need to do is register for the Challenge Weekend of your choice through Eventbrite, and you can join a team at the event itself.
We don’t expect you to have a team already assembled and ready to go, and we encourage everyone to attend and contribute your skills.
What If I Already Have a Team?
If you are already part of a group of people committed to doing the Go Code Colorado challenge together, then make sure everyone has registered for the same Challenge Weekend event.
You may be open to adding other people to your group at the Challenge itself, and we are excited to see a diversity in skills and experience inside each team. If you already have backend and frontend developers, then consider adding a UX creative, a marketer, or someone with excellent business savvy.
Does My Team Need to Become a Business to Participate or Win?
If your team is one of the winners, then you’ll need to go through the steps to register your team as a business. This is something that is easy and straightforward, and our mentors will help you with this. You’re welcome to register as a business before then, but it’s not necessary and doesn’t impact the challenge.
