Dr. Patrick Ryan is a Strategy & Operations Principle with Google, Inc. Before joining the business side, of Google, Patrick was Public Policy & Government Relations Senior Counsel for Free Expression and International Relations and led the global policy strategy for various aspects of Internet governance, and developed the policy strategy for cloud computing platform.

In addition, Patrick holds an appointment as a Senior Affiliated Researcher with the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium, and maintains an affiliation with the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he was previously the Faculty Director for the Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program.

Prior to joining Google, Patrick was a lawyer in private practice and advised companies on the deployment of next-generation networks, international investment, and intellectual property. He has authored or co-authored more than 20 law-review articles on topics ranging from wireless spectrum policy and Internet regulation to tort law reform—all are available on SSRN.

Patrick received a JD with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBL in international business law from the Universität St.Gallen (Switzerland), and a Ph.D. from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Patrick commutes between Denver and Mountain View, and is married with two children, and speaks Spanish, French and German.

Street parking is available or you can park at the Cultural Complex Center Garage at 65 W. 12th Ave., Denver, CO 80204

Parking Directions:
•    Going south on Broadway, turn right (west) on 12th Avenue.
•    The garage entrance is on the right, just before the Hamilton Building (the angular building)
•    Garage opens at 6:00am
•    Garage booth closes at 11:00pm. Garage closes at 12:00am.
•    After hours security number is 303-640-1096

The entrance for the event will be on 14th street across from the park in the North Building.
