Do you know what’s at stake at Go Code Colorado? Here’s a rundown for you:
First, the Go Code Colorado challenge orbits around a challenge weekend, where you’ll bring (or join) a team of developers and entrepreneurs in one of five cities across the state. At the end of the weekend, your team will present to a panel of judges, where the two best from each location are awarded slots at Mentor Weekend in Boulder.
This is the first thing at stake: a weekend in Boulder (we’ll pay for your travel and hotel and we’ll feed you during the workshops) where you can put your work and talent in front of some of Colorado’s top tech entrepreneurs, lawyers, and other members of the community (such as staff from Techstars). You’ll come to Boulder to hone your app ideas and code, to be sure. But you’ll also learn invaluable lessons from been-there-done-that professionals steeped in Colorado’s entrepreneurial scene.
You’ll take your new knowledge, return to your normal life, and work on your app and business idea for about a month. Then you’ll come to Denver and present in front of an audience and a panel of highly-regarded judges at the Final Competition.
At stake? Go Code Colorado’s ultimate reward: You could be one of three teams to receive $25,000 to keep you app and business idea going, plus other perks (which vary from year to year).
